The room was beautiful and comfortable with a work desk, coffee and tea making equipment, and a flat-screen TV available. The staff was great and lovely, went the extra mile to provide a fantastic stay. Location: the hotel was close to the hill far from the city and mountain side.

We greatly enjoyed our time at Mountain Face Inn in Ella. Our stay was ideal for exploring the area. the staff were very helpful, and the setting was peaceful. the hotel is located in a fairly quiet area, and there is a nearby restaurant that offers affordable and delicious food.

Jaw-dropping views of the mountains from the beautiful wooden log cabin-style guesthouse. Super clean and comfortable rooms with tastefully decorated bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff, offering free rides to town and assisting with scooter rentals. Generous portions of delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast served on a balcony with an amazing view. Peaceful and private jungle atmosphere. Great location for hiking Ella Rock.

The inn offered a tasty breakfast and had a lovely garden and terrace. Free private parking was a bonus!

Oh, and I just loved the view of the city from my room. So thrilling, it almost made up for the lack of Wi-Fi.

We stayed for 4 nights, wish we could've stayed longer. The wooden design gives a cozy log cabin vibe. Lovely balcony with stunning mountain views. Clean room, comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. Owner offered free rides to town and arranged a reasonably priced moped rental. Generous traditional Sri Lankan breakfast served on the balcony. Convenient access to Ella Rock hike. Bag storage after check-out. Friendly and attentive host.

mountain face inn exceeded my expectations with exceptional breakfast, colourful rooms, and a stunning view. a short tuktuk ride away from main street, perfect for exploring ella. the owner's hospitality and delicious breakfast made our stay unforgettable.
